Hello dears.

Indeed, it's been ages since I've posted here. Truth be told, last week I was seriously considering taking a lot of things down, and my motivation for being here now is so very different to when I first came here.
When I joined a few years ago, aside from this place being somewhere to vent stress from my final year of school and pressures etc etc, it was more about establishing myself, and getting approval of my art. I'd try to read every journal, poll, view every deviation and comment on just about everything. I became the head/founder of a few clubs and members of others and enjoyed that, but when I gained more and more friends, this became difficult and I'd spend longer periods of time without logging in.
Eventually it became impossible and there was a long period of time I was not here for, because I didn't want to face the couple of hundred deviations and 150 messages.
How are things different now?
I guess I've realised, as most staff and popular artists here would, that when you can't respond to everything, it becomes about quality, rather than quantity.
I come here to browse and enjoy others' art, comment on the ones that particularly move me, and most importantly, keep a folio of my own art.
I don't post my pieces wondering how others will like them, or if they will comment (though it's always appreciated!). I post them because this will be a somewhat chronological collection and story of what I've made of creativity since 2003. If my computer crashes, or, as time warrants, I must delete pictures and fractals from my overloaded computer, this will always be here, and I think that'll keep me here.
